Lucky's Medical Fund

This is an urgent plea: Please help me save Lucky, our fourteen month old shelter baby who is suffering from lily poisoning. It can cause kidney failure and death in cats. He is in the Emergency Pet Hospital of Redlands tonight, where the doctor is flushing out his system and doing blood panels to see if his kidneys are failing. For that alone the cost was over $1000.00.  Tomorrow we will transfer him to his regular vet, at Banfield Pet Hospital in San Bernardino, CA. He is facing more intensive care in the days to come. We have no idea what that will add up to, but it will be expensive.  

It is embarassing to ask for money, but worse to think that he might die because we can't afford to save him. Any amount would help, even just a few dollars, but funds are urgently needed asap. 

Please, help us save Lucky. 

Those of you who know me know Lucky. He is our 14 month old cat. I found him at a local kill shelter last October. He charmed me, reaching out of the cage through the bars. When I got to meet him, he literally climbed up the front of me and nuzzled and drooled on me, clearly marking him as his own. The attendant said he would be put to sleep the next day. I don't know if that was true, or something she says to encourage adoptions, but I didn't need any convincing.  I adopted him and named him Lucky. He is the most affectionate, loving cat I have ever owned, and I've had many wonderful cats. The thought of him dying is more than I can bear.
