Living Life Without Limits
Donation protected
Living life with Cerebral Palsy (CP) is what makes each individual so unique and special to the world. Yet, these individuals face many challenges daily whether it is regarding splinting, wheelchairs, walkers, handicap accessibility, but most of all-funding. Adults with CP are limited typically because there is not enough funding to provide them with proper adaptive equipment or technology to Live Life without Limits.
In this case, this particular individual has dystonic CP in her left hand. If one is unfamililar with the term dystonic, it is the neurological movement disorder in which sustained muscle contractions cause twisting and repetitive movements or abnormal postures. This individual benefits from a splint, Ultraflex dynamic stimilus, to provide prolong stretching, proper positioning, and increased functional ability to participate in her daily activities such as dressing, feeding, showering, grooming, job, and other areas of desired occupations.
This particilar splint is only covered by certain insurances of which this individual does not have access to. Please help fund this individual much needed splint to enrich her day-to-day life.
Any additional funding raised through this page will go to support others in need of equipment, splints, or materials at United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham. These donations will benefit and encourage clients to live life without limits.
