Curve Ball #1:
Back in 2008 I was working in the Financial World when the market took a plunge. I was laid off, hired again only to be laid off again. I paid for health insurance for months at close to $600 a month but with no income coming in and me being healthy I dropped my health insurance.
In 2008 I sat down to watch the opening Duck Football Game. When I woke up I was on my back on the floor and my head was in the cat water bowl. I was in and out of consciousness for who knows how may hours. When i tried to move I could not. I was paralyzed. It took me hours to be able to turn over so I could attempt to crawl to my front door. When I finally made it there I yelled T3, call 911. Luckily I live in a condo and someone heard me. Ambulance to Oregon Health Science University.
That ended with me having a colectomy (removal of part of my colon) . I spent over 15 days in the hospital and accrued huge medical bills. I spent several months with a bag, luckily for me they were able to re-connect my colon.

Friends brought me home and basically had to carry me up the stairs. I was that weak. I slept most of the day and with the help of a walker tried to gain strength walking around my condo. It took me months to be able to walk without my walker and to actually gain some strength.
After this my lifestyle changed. I am most certainly not feeling sorry for myself but I could no longer live the life I had been due to paying the medical bills that had occurred and not being able to work. My savings were depleted.
Curve Ball #2:
Now, that being said, my Condo Association decided to hire Lifetime Exteriors to replace windows, doors and siding. The cost is 3.5 million dollars. My portion is $78,000. A portion of that is due September 15, 2019. That is why my goal for Go Fund Me is $78,000.

Due to my debt to income ratio I did not qualify for re-finance. The debt was caused by my medical bills back in 2008. The condo secured a low income loan but I cannot take on another loan.
Obviously, the more people that know about this the better chance I have of reaching my goal. If you have friends and you feel comfortable about asking them to help you help me that would be awesome.
Any help would be so appreciated.
Thanks,
Jan
