I'm Alexa Vaca and I was just elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention. That means I'll get the chance to help fight for Bernie and his progressive platform in Philadelphia!
Throughout this election cycle, I've put my heart and soul into grassroots volunteer efforts for Bernie. Alongside the official Georgia for Bernie Sanders Campaign, I volunteered making calls, helping organize outreach events, and training volunteers in door-to-door campaigning. I also got the chance to star in a Ga for Bernie Sanders campaign video (watch below). As a lead officer of Kennesaw State University Owls for Bernie Sanders, I helped organize voter outreach and phonebanking events right on campus.
In the end, I'm doing this because I truly believe in Bernie's message of a Political Revolution. This means fighting for real social, economic, and environmental justice against a rigged system that exploits the 99%.
Delegates are expected to pay for travel, lodging, food, and transportation for 5 days. Hotel rooms are $400/night and the hotel payment is due by July 5! Every little donation helps and would be greatly appreciated.
