Renouncing my American citizenship

Hello. My name is Matthew Santana. I
am an American citizen and with your help, I don't have to be one for much longer. I can go on and on, telling you all the reasons why I want to renounce my citizenship: The never ending wars promoted by the military industrial complex, the Big Brother surveillance state, the politicians who use topics of race and gender to divide the nation, and so much more.

America does not represent me, so I am walking away. There is nothing for me to gain by staying here. I do not want any government welfare. I can not be bribed to stay. I want to start a new life, away from all this corruption, immorality, and negativity.

Just because I was born in America does not make me an American. That label was given to me, at birth, without my consent or choice. And now, as an adult, I can finally choose my own relationships. And I choose to end the relationship I have with America.

Some people might not understand why I want to renounce citizenship, thinking that America is the greatest place on earth. And that's okay. I am not here to convince anyone else that they need to follow in my footsteps. Everyone's life is their own to live, and this is the life I have chosen for myself.

Unfortunately, renouncing citizenship is both time consuming and expensive. There was a time where it was free to renounce American citizenship but now there is a fee of $2,350. Which is the most expensive renunciation fee in the world. Besides the financial burden, if I renounce now, without having a second citizenship, I would become a stateless person. And a stateless person is unable to legally travel internationally, because they do not have any identification. To avoid this, I must first aquire a second citizenship and then renounce my American citizenship.

Through research, I have discovered that Guatemala offers residency leading to citizenship in 5 years. This process can be easily started with a lawyer. But I would need approximately $2,000 to cover travel expenses and lawyer fees. Alternatively, if I was able to obtain $50,000, that money could be invested in Guatemala, which would reduce the wait time to only 3 years. And if I was able to reach $100,000, through generous donations, I could become a citizen within a year to the island nation of Dominica, through its citizenship by investment program.

Once I renounce citizenship, I plan on creating jobs in developing countries. This would have the effect of bringing people out of poverty. I would like to establish a corporation in Hong Kong, focusing on exports. Although the labor would come primarily from outside of Hong Kong. I want to establish in Hong Kong because it only takes approximately $2,000 and a few days to open up a corporation.

And as I do all these things, I will be documenting the process. So if people do choose to follow in my footstepts, they will have a clear Step-By-Step guide.
