Pinsky Lavender Fundraiser

Donation protected
On November 29, 2015 Jeff and Linda Lavender were at home with their 7 year old daughter Rachel Lavender awaiting the arrival of their 3 older children Kate, Aaron and Sarah Pinsky from a weekend trip to their biological father, Frank Pinsky’s house. Tragedy struck around 8pm when they got a call from police saying that all 3 kids had been involved in an accident and were being life flighted to nearby hospitals. As panic took over, Jeff and Linda raced to the hospital only to find out that their 15 year old daughter Kate Pinsky and 12 year old son Aaron Pinsky were dead as a result of a freight train collision with the vehicle they were traveling in. 9 year old Sarah was rushed to the hospital clinging to life with multiple injuries including severe head trauma. Their father Frank Pinsky managed to escape with only minor injuries.

9 year old Sarah is currently still hospitalized, medically sedated as doctors and staff work hard to keep the pressure in her brain down. She is in unstable condition with multiple injuries that must be left untreated until her brain  recovers enough to allow treatment of those areas.

Jeff and Linda Lavender are a very hardworking family. Both of them work in the Criminal Justice industry and serve their community. They go above and beyond to provide a good life for their children. Anyone that knows them personally will tell you that they are the model family. Their children are respectful, bright, outgoing, fun, everything you would expect and more.  They, like most families, work paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet.

This fundraiser is set up to raise money to pay for whatever expenses this family needs. Sarah is still in the hospital in critical condition. She has had one extensive sugery and more are expected. With Christmas rapidly approaching, we are anticipating over $100,000 easily in medical bills for Sarah. Insurance will only pay for a fraction of the current and on going medical needs she will have. It will also go for memorials for Kate and Aaron, food, gas, the inability to work and make money, recurring bills ect. Whatever this family needs in an attempt to provide some level of comfort for them during the worst day of their lives. That they may focus on Rachel and Sarah and not have to worry about how the mortgage will be paid.

As a mother, a best friend, a sister, an aunt I can't imagine what they are going through and am at a loss for words and an inability to comprehend this tragedy. Aaron was an exceptional 12 year old boy. He was strong willed and an absolute animal person. He looked and acted so much like his mother, from his stubbornness to his compassion. He had an outgoing and intelligent personality. He would have grown into a great man, father and husband. Kate, a 15 year old artist with a soft soul. She was the kind of person who smiled with her eyes and had a great sense of humor. She was a great older sister and would have been a great mother too. She had a passion for art and music. She would have excelled with her beautiful drawings. Sarah is so serene by nature and loves all the girly things. She is the sweetest little girl and the first to run up and give you big hugs. She is a gentle, light hearted and is always smiling. Please know that any donation given will provide so much for this family.

Rest in Peace sweet angels <3
