Preparing for my next Competition!
My name is Alexis Lagan. I am a international style pistol marksman, specifically women's sport pistol and women's air pistol. I've been shooting for almost five years now. I held the Women's National Intercollegiate First Place Aggregate title and held it for two years (2014,2015) as well as the 2014 Overall National Intercollegiate Third Place Aggregate title. I took second at the 2015 Winter Airgun Championship. I barely missed qualifying for the 2016 Summer Games when I took second at the Olympic Airgun Trials. Soon after, I won my first USA Shooting National Air Champion title, which qualified me for the National Pistol Team.
I'm preparing for more competitions on my journey toward qualifying for the 2020 Summer Olympics. These competitions are expensive, therefore I am seeking sponsorship and donations. My gofundme account here is to help with the cost of travel, hotels, and car rentals. Future sponsorships will be able to help with equipment and competition entry fees, but I still need help. Every dollar helps.
At the 2015 USA World Cup, I competed in both Women's Air Pistol and Women's Sport Pistol. By competing at the World Cup, I was able to qualify myself for the running for Olympic representative for the United States. I have also competed at the International Collegiate Championship. This was held in Seoul, South Korea July 2015. I, again, competed in Women's Sport Pistol and Women's Air Pistol. I was successful, and although my placement wasn't the top 10, I was very close. It was a great showing, and I'm proud of what I was able to accomplish while there.
I am seeking sponsorship for these competitions as well as preparing for the upcoming competitions, and would be happy to discuss any proposals.
Getting started in this enterprise is a big endeavor, but I know with the help of my friends, family, and support from the community, I will be able to accomplish any goals I set my mind to. I understand if you are unable to donate at this time, and I truly appreciate you taking your time to read what I've posted here and the consideration. You can still help by sharing my page with your friends on facebook and twitter. Every view helps. Please let me know if you would like any more information.

Thank you so much for keeping up with me. It really means a lot to feel all the support from you. Most of you have heard already about my recent win at the USA Shooting National Championships. This win qualified me for National Pistol Team status, something I have been working so hard for. I now will be assisted with some of my funding needs, but it won't cover everything.
One thing I really need to do is purchase a new .22 sport pistol to compete with. UPMS has graciously been letting me borrow a pistol for years, but with the wonderful expansion of our University of Utah pistol team, they could really use the spare guns. The estimated cost of my new pistol will be close to $2,000. I would sincerely appreciate help with this cost.
Thank you so much!
I know I just posted an update, but I've recieved some exciting news!
First: I've been invited mid-season to join the National Pistol Development Team!! I've been working towards this goal for a long time. It opens me up for more invitations to competitions, a little help financially, and much more.
Second: I've been invited to the Meyton Cup in Austria and the Bavarian Air Gun Championship in Germany this January! It will be funded, so I don't need to fund raise for the travel, but I do need to fund raise for some new equipment to train with before the games.
As always, thank you so much for your support and love. Its the best motivation to keep me working harder and harder.
I wanted to give a brief update on how well everything is going. I just finished Winter Air gun Championships. I did very well finishing with personal bests every day, and I placed 2nd overall in women's air pistol. It was a neck and neck battle, and I only missed the first place spot by one point. This competition really helped me see where I am and where I need a little improvement to make the difference between first and second. This competition was also the first part of Olympic Air gun Trials, and I have qualified for part two taking place in June. Along with the Olympic Air gun Trials, I will also be attending the Olympic Sport Pistol Trials in April and potentially a few more unexpected competitions in between now and Rio.
With this news, I need more help than ever. I have those two competitions and potentially more between now and Rio. It would really help if you could share this page and get the word out for me. The more shares the page receives, the more gofundme advertises the page to other people. Another way to help is to post a flier from the website in your neighborhood.
Even if you can't help now, I appreciate the continued support on my #roadtorio journey! Thank you, and I hope to do you all proud!
