Production of La Zombiata 2018

Even the undead fall in love. This Valentines Day, WholeTone Opera needs your help to make La Zombiata, a hilarious zombie love story by Jillian Flexner, come undead once again - this time in a glowing radioactive wasteland under UV lights!

Unfortunately, raising the dead isn't free, and we need your help to create fearsome music, faces, costumes, and sets.



WholeTone Opera has been bringing you romantic comedy horror operas written & produced by women, femmes, and non-binary folks since our first run of La Zombiata for Valentines Day 2016. Many of you caught our fiercely queer operatic masterpiece, The Werewolf, this past Halloween. As always our goal is to appeal to audiences who might otherwise never hear the magic of true operatic singing. We bring to life comedic operas with culturally relevant stories and progressive themes, performed in English. We also make a point of paying all of our team, including all of the singers - which is part of why we need your help!
