La Linea:
A line of connection that stretches across boundaries; a clear border that separates.
Founding artist Ayanna Bassiouni chose the word "La Linea" to represent an exhibition of collaborative artwork that will serve as a platform for a conversation between artists, sharing the likeness and the oppositions of their cultures.
This summer, four female artists from Santiago, Cuba will meet and share lives with four female artists from North America. Their connection - as artists and as women - will produce a story told by a collaborative work of of original pieces created in the moment.
