In the weeks before Veterans Day, LinkedIn For Good NYC is raising funds for the USO's Holidays for Heroes program. The USO strengthens America’s military service members by keeping them connected to family, home and country, throughout their service to the nation.
The USO's goal is to provide 5,000 care packages to our deployed service members around the world, and we'd like to help raise as much as possible to help them meet their goal.
Your funds will go towards $15 gift cards to be included in the "USO Big Apple Packs." Gift cards are easily used overseas, especially for service members in the most remote locations throughout the world.
Also included in the packs will be holiday or thank you notes to our troops, which NYC LinkedIn employees and their parents can write on Bring In Your Parents day on November 4th.
