The Vigil Center for the Arts

$720 of $60,000 goal

Raised by 13 people in 42 months

We found a potential forever home and now need to raise $15,000 to get moved in and settled,to sustain us for the year it will take $60,000!!

Please consider placing your order for Voices de Queer Femmes Volume I or donating at any level! As Ms. Vihil is also a photographer any donation will provide you a great deal on photography services by Vihil Photographix or speaking services with your aspiring artists via The Vigil Center for the Arts!

The Vigil Center for the Arts is an overarching entitity to house an educational fine arts gallery; Altered Egos Art House - a Community Art Gallery & Arts Education Center of the Sacramento Valley, in addition to an artist & author collaboration space and coworking space. The Vigil Center for the Arts currently rents space from the Sacramento LGBT Community Center. In addition to our current space and program at the Sacramento LGBT Community Center we are fundraising for a space of our own.

Beginning as a rotating 2nd Saturday Gallery Exhibition curated by Vihil Vigil at the Sacramento LGBT Community Center Altered Egos Art House has been redesigned and is NOW seeking a permanent home of its own and needs YOUR help!

The new experience for 2nd Saturday, Altered Egos Art House, extends the reach to LGBTQ Artists and Allies and supporting community of the Sacramento Valley and a bit outside. Solo exhibitions, group shows, musicians, appetizers, wine to savor and more every 2nd Saturday at 1927 L Street, Sacramento, CA! On Facebook!
Ms. Vihil H. Vigil, MBA   is inviting the community to take part in this long standing dream of having a gallery of our own for the Sacramento LGBTQ Community to exhibit art work without the upfront expense of exhibition space. How can a new artist starting out expect to pay for expensive gallery space before they have a chance to sell any art?!

We are going about this differently and would LOVE OUR COMMUNITY'S HELP!

By renting space from the Sacramento LGBT Community Center The Vihil Center for the Arts and AEAH continues to work towards a building of our own while being able to offer the educational opportunity, gallery experience and a chance to sell art work for Sacramento area Artists to YOU!!!

All funds raised will be to lease and prepare a quality gallery space for The Vigil Center for the Arts & Altered Egos Art House in the Midtown Sacramento area, purchase gallery supplies for all exhibiting artists, hire established artists to provide educational programs, create a plethora of marketing materials, & a new website!!!

Current funding for Altered Egos Art House comes exclusively from Ms. Vihil Vigil's personal income, commissions from art work sold at exhibitions and your generous donations! This small source for funding cannot be sustained when also supporting a growing family so we need more help!

Keep us in business and support our efforts for gallery supplies, food, drinks, marketing supplies and rental fees and of course one day a building of our own!!!

Donate Today via Go Fund Me to The Vigil Center for the Arts & make our dreams a reality!
