Kurt Lange Memorial Fund

$3,975 of $5,000 goal

Raised by 89 people in 10 months
Created June 14, 2018
Kurt Lange passed away suddenly and unexpectedly while riding his bike on June 12.  All of us who were lucky enough to ride with Kurt know that he was an incredibly special man - a kind, funny, easy-going, thoughtful, generous, positive, shoot-it-straight, good-natured, good man. He was a beloved member of our cycling family, and we all genuinely loved riding with him.

Kurt leaves behind his own family, and we created this fund to help his children and grandchildren during this exceptionally devastating time. Any amount is appreciated and 100% of the proceeds will go to his family.

Kurt was such a generous person. He deeply supported any and all fundraisers we had and never wanted any fuss made over it. We would love to return his generosity by helping his family that he loved so, so much. Please donate and share, and let's shower his family with love and generosity in the spirit of Kurt!

I just had to share this photo of Kurt from his services yesterday! It was so awesome to hear stories about all the genuinely incredible things Kurt did in life. He certainly lived big, and I left inspired and also even more grateful that I had the privilege of knowing him. Thank you all again for coming together to support his family during this devastating time. I'm so awed by the power of community to lift each other up.

We are so humbled by everyone's generosity. We aren't surprised, though, knowing how supportive this community is of each other! Since we hit our initial goal in less than 24 hours, we've raised it to $2500 to see if we can do even more. Little by little, a little becomes a lot! Together, we can help bring some comfort to Kurt's family. Thank you for donating, and thank you for sharing this campaign to help spread the word!

I forgot to mention that Kurt's funeral services will be held at 10 am on Thursday, June 21 at Reedley Cemetery (with a reception to follow). His family asked us to share and invite the cycling community.
* Cards may be sent to Creighton Funeral Home in Kingsburg, but the family is requesting no flowers, please.
* We have a memory book at the shop and would love to fill it up for Kurt’s family. Please come in and write down some stories about Kurt so that we can give it to his family and share this part of his life with them!
* A memorial ride is being planned. We would love the entire cycling community to come out and show their support for Kurt’s family! We will share details as they develop.
Thank you again everyone for your support. I sincerely appreciate it.
