This Go Fund Me page has been set up by the Cincinnati friends of Jason and Heather Kroeger.   They came to Cincinnati just one week ago in order to seek specialized medical help regarding the birth of their conjoined twins.  Heather is currently 36 weeks pregnant.  Here is their story.  Please consider keeping them in your prayers and making a donation for this urgent and serious situation.

Jason and Heather were high school sweethearts.  They grew up and met in Rochester, NY.  After being married in 1999 Jason's job took them to Winston-Salem area in North Carolina.  God blessed them with 5 children (Jacob age 17, Elizabeth age 15, James age 13, Isaiah age 10, and Julia age 4).  Heather and Jason were thrilled this year when they found out they were once again pregnant and due on October 1, 2017.  At the end of the first trimester they were informed that that they were having twin boys and they are conjoined   (see ultrasound photo).  At 35 weeks they were advised to travel to Cincinnati because the hospital near their home was not sure they were equipped to handle their situation.  It was at that time that a group of their homeschool friends came to their home and gave them $500 for gas money and gift cards for food to help get them and their children to Cincinnati. We are grateful that the Jesuits in Cincinnati provided immediate shelter and care during the first few days in Cincinnati.  Elijah and Isaac Kroeger

It is no surprise that they have been advised several times throughout the pregnancy to abort these two little precious souls.  They rejected such a thought right out of hand.    We are asking you to consider giving a donation to help this young couple who has been faithful to God's plan for life and love.  They carry a heavy cross right now as they are facing the unknown.  The babies will be delivered at any time.  We are trying to raise funds for extensive pre and post medical costs, lodging, food, travel, and other family needs. Heather and the children are in Cincinnati while Jason has returned to North Carolina to work and be with their older high school son.

Please keep Heather, Jason and their family in your prayers for a safe delivery and that they are sustained by grace during this time of medical uncertainty.  Also pray for the medical teams that will be with them… that they are kind, respectful, and share the deep respect for life that Jason and Heather so strongly embrace.

Friends, we cannot see what God sees.  Nor can we always understand the "hows" and "whys".  This family has inspired so many of us with their trust in God and love for these babies.  Thanks to all those who have already helped to assist this family since their arrival in Cincinnati just one week ago.  And thanks to all of those who share their belief that every life is precious.  Jason and Heather are very humble and private people.  We asked them to allow us to ask others for help.  They agreed.  The need is urgent and immediate.   Thank you!

Dear friends and prayer warriors of the Kroeger family,
It has been a difficult week. The boys took and unexpected turn for the worse after surgery 1 week ago today. They are battling a major setback and need all the prayers they can get. They are beautiful and so loved. We pray God's will be done and that the Elijah and Isaac are wrapped in the arms of our Lord as they fight through this.
As we have mentioned before, the Krogers are a devout Catholic family and deeply trust in God's plan. Elijah and Isaac have received all of their sacraments and are in a state of grace.
We cannot measure the number of people that have been touched by the story of these sweet gifts from God. Their lives and the love of this family have great depth and meaning.
Heather, Jason, Jacob, Liz, James, Isaiah, and Julia appreciate everything you have done for them.
Lord in heaven, hear our prayers!

Dear friends and supporters,
THANK YOU for your continued concern, prayers and support. The Kroeger family has been BUSY--keeping the 5 oldest kids up to speed on their school work in NC while baby brothers Elijah and Isaac remain in Cincinnati with mom Heather and frequent visits from dad. The help at home and in Cincinnati has been needed and useful.
The boys have had their ups and downs with their health--some good days and some tough days. They continue to make progress but have occasional setbacks. Elijah and Isaac have physical therapy and enjoy being moved around and changing positions. They continue to feed well. The medical team at Cincinnati Children's has been outstanding!
We have a VERY specific prayer request--the boys will undergo surgery this week with Isaac specifically receiving the most care. We ask you pray for a great medical team and for an outstanding result to the surgery. We hope this surgery can move them closer to going home and continued healing and wellness.
Thank you again for all the support--the journey ahead is still a big one, all the support has really helped, and of course any continued help for this family that CHOSE LIFE is very much appreciated.

Hello supporters and prayer warriors! The entire Kroeger family had a blessed Thanksgiving, including Elijah and Isaac. Both boys are stable and growing. They continue to get breathing assistance but are not on vents. The doctors are still working on finding best cardiac plan considering their complex anatomy. The darling boys receive their nutrition via a feeding tube but do love their pacifiers. We ask for continued prayers for their overall health. Our God is mighty and His work in this family is evident. Please pray for all the Kroegers as the holidays are an especially difficult time to be in different states. ❤️

Hello Dear Supporters,
Heather, Jason and family request your prayers for Elijah and Isaac--the physicians will be trying once again to extubate the boys tomorrow. Their anatomy is so unique, it seems when one brother goes up in something, one goes down. The prayer is that the boys can get their breathing synced and their blood receives the oxygen it needs. We also ask for prayers for the proper balance of heart medication--again it seems one brother needs one thing and the other brother something else. The team of docs and nurses have been fantastic while trying to work out proper balance. This family knows and has felt the power of prayer. Please keep it up!
Elijah and Isaac are both very sweet calm babies. Each one takes a turn with their quiet and fussy moments. They are both feeding through stomach tubes and if the extubation is successful they can bottle feed. Both boys have only received their mother's milk. Heather has been a champ making sure she keeps up with expressing so the boys get all the wonderful nutrients from mom's milk.
Halloween was a fun occasion for the family with parties at the hospital and trick or treating with friends. Cincinnati Children's has been so wonderful in celebrating the life of these precious boys!
We continue to pray for progress and for their lives. We thank you all!
Elijah and Isaac First Halloween!
