Kevin's Memorial Tree @ Bonnaroo

In 2004 a boy asked me to go to a festival with him, we had no idea what were doing! The first night we lost each other AND our campsite for nearly 12 hours until we reunited to a broken & flooded tent (we slept in the car the entire weekend), the cooler of food was in my car somewhere on the 700 acres of which we could never find where I parked, we had no clue what bands we were listening to becuase we didn't even know a program/map existed!  We were a mess but we had a blast and left that Sunday knowing that we for sure wanted to come back the following year!

In 2015 we didn't know it would be our last Bonnaroo together but we had such an amazing time!! We had attended every year since the first disaster year which turned out to be a proven fact that if we could stand each other during that crazy weekend then we were definitely meant to be together!  Moving forward, we perfected Bonnaroo, it was our Happy Place and our only yearly vacation. Words can't describe the happiness, love and many memories that we made on the Manchester farm each year. 

I 'd love to give back to the farm one last time in memory of my SMB and leave an imprint of his happiness in the shape of a tree that will provide future Bonnaroovians a place to recooperate and escape the scorching June sun! Bonnaroo now has a program where you can adopt a tree! (https://www.rootforroo.com/adopt-a-tree/index.html) There are a handful of things that I can mention of which Kevin was passionate about, 2 of which are music and trees, as a carpenter he really appreciated the beauty of wood.  It would be my honor to plant a tree with his name on it at Bonnaroo. 

So far, our fellow Bonnaroovians have raised over $300!!  I am now opening this up to our friends and family, if you'd like to donate I would appreciate it very much.  If I do not reach my goal, I will donate to Roochute which is a program that promotes mental health awareness. (We loved playing under the Roochute!!)
