Kelly Townsend's son had an accident 3/13/2017.
He fell from a moving vehicle his friend was driving. He fractured the base of his skull (very thick bone) in two places, his brain bounced inside and bruised his frontal lobe, and he had a brain bleed. He since has developed a clot in the brain, so they gave him a blood thinner which caused more bleeding so they had to stop. They have continued aspirin today after 5 1/2 days waiting for the bleeding to stop and if he does well, he can come out of Trauma-ICU. He will possibly have hearing loss in his only good ear, time will tell.
As of today, 3/23/2017 DJ is still in the hospital.
Kelly asked us all to,
Hug your kids because at any moment, life can change. And as always, God is good.
As life will have it, we are never are prepared for accidents such as these and the added cost that always seem to be associated with. Kelly has missed two weeks of work to be by DJ's side. The funds will be used to help pay for family members to come help out in this time of need. Let us be Kelly's anchor and port in this storm. Thank you to each and every Patriot that helps out!
