Help Carol & Kayla
Donation protected
I am asking for help once again. This time for 2 very special people. You all know Carol but may not know her daughter Kayla. Kayla was diagnosed about 10 to 12 years ago with a rare blood disease called TTP (thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura) A life-threatening disease.TTP is fortunately rare. It occurs at a rate of 3.7 cases per year per million persons. But Kayla was one of those rarity's. The use of plasma exchange (running blood through a machine to which the patient is connected which removes the plasma or fluid portion of the blood and returns the cells mixed with new plasma. Basically blood tranfusions every day. She went through this treatment years ago and hoped it wouldn't return but it has!
She is in Vanderbilt Hospital ICU going through treatment again. This is very expensive and would cause a burden on anyone with Insurance but Kayla has no insurance.
Carol Flew back home on Saturday morning to be with her but of course is worried about the expenses and how they will pay for everything with neither able to work right now.
Caro has always been there anytime anyone needs anything. She has been my best friend for 30 years and deserves all the help she can get. So I am asking for everyone to pitch in and help make this a little easier for her and Kayla so they can concentrate on getting Kayla healthy again.
Any amount will ad up to a lot if everyone chips in.
Thank you for taking time to read this and hopefully contributing to help a friend out.
