Greetings my beautiful friends and family,

I have a strong desire to give to our brothers and sisters who have less and I know many of you do too so I have found a way! I've decided to create art and sports packages for trusted friends who run small schools, orphanages and various organisations in Uganda, East Timor and Vanuatu (to start!)
I have no problem sourcing generous contributions of the goods, for example I have just been gifted 150 tennis balls from the Murwillumbah tennis club!

And I love to spend my own money on art materials for kids, IMAGINE THEIR FACES!!!

But my main problem is the shipping costs! Postage is more expensive than the items sometimes so that's where I ask YOUR help. Even the tiniest donation will make it easier for me to get the fun stuff into the warm hands where it belongs.

We need to get some dough as soon as possible to send the first boxes out.

Everyone who donates will have their name and website on the page of my website that will be devoted to this cause.

But the main reward is to feel WONDERFUL and to know that you have given a smile to a child.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has" Margaret Mead

The first box of Tennis balls and art materials will be going to My friend Catherine Koch who is the founder of LITA ~ Love Is The Answer

I will update you as packages are created and schools/charities are sourced for delivery!

Hello everyone!! I have an update from Simon our liaison in East Timor!! Thanks for your help with the shipping costs. We are still hoping to send more balls to Kenya and extras plus rackets up to East Timor soon so any help you can give us will be soon appreciated!!

Enjoy the update x Arna

"Here are some pictures of me handing over the balls to the Antonio, General Secretary of Jospat Community Tennis Club in Bebonuk, Dili. There are only two tennis clubs in Dili, the other one being the Timor-Leste university tennis club which has two courts. I understand that the Jospat club is named after the founders who are Jose (Antonio’s nickname) and Pat Walsh who was a significant Australian in Timor-Leste for many years and responsible for the CHEGA report (see: http://home.patwalsh.net/). The club hosts the Timor-Leste National Open jointly with the university and gains limited revenue by providing training and court hire to internationals in Timor which is used for basic maintenance including of the lighting (which is required as it gets dark early in Timor every night)

The balls were actually a bit of a hit (also with our staff who took a few for their children) as they will be used by the kids to play. I think they were actually just as happy to have a club in Australia think of them. They said they would very much welcome more balls but also made a request for any used or discarded racquets because they are short of them for the children."

I'm still collecting and sending through fun stuff for kids who have been accustomed to just surviving. THANKYOU so much everyone you've made it possible with your donations.
Every little bit helps me source more and send further afield.
Boxes should be arriving now in Uganda and East Timor with more being sent to Utopia and Kenya soon!
This is fun for me exciting for the kids and hopefully rewarding for anyone inclined to contribute. In little ways we can all make such a BIG difference!
