Help Narco Fight Cancer!

$2,720 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 47 people in 22 months
K-9 Narco (from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in Allen County, Kentucky) was recently diagnosed with cancer and needs your help. He is currently being treated for melanoma. Narco’s prognosis is very good if he gets the treatments recommended by the veterinarian. Funds are needed to help pay for these costly treatments.

Narco has been serving the community of Allen County for over 5 years as a dual purpose K-9 trained in narcotics detection and criminal apprehension. Narco will be able to return to work but will retire as normally scheduled at the end of 2017. Narco has remained with the same handler for his entire career and upon retirement, will be adopted by his handler. All money raised will go to Narco’s care–to remove any existing cancer, prevent its return and continue his care into retirement.

THIS PAGE HAS BEEN CREATED BY NARCO’S HANDLER FOR HIS PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT NOT COVERED BY ALLEN COUNTY OR THE ALLEN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE. THESE FUNDS ARE NOT COMINGLED AND/OR ASSOCIATED WITH COUNTY FUNDS IN ANY WAY.

Thank you for your contribution,
Sgt. Nick Tabbert

Narco turned 7 this week!
He has finished with his Melanoma vaccines and is again on chemo which he will continue for 12 months.
With other fundraising, we're still $3,000 away from the amount needed to pay for the treatments.
Thanks for everyone's support and contributions!!

Narco had his first Melanoma vaccine today! He is doing great and is still working as normal. He will receive his second Melanoma vaccine in 2 weeks.

This month was Narco's final injectable chemo treatment! As with all of the previous treatments, he did well and had no unpleasant side effects. He still enjoys going to work and playing outside with his family.

We greatly appreciate everyone's support so far. We are about to enter one of the most costly phases of treatment (the Melanoma Vaccine). The vaccination is a four dose series, which involves receiving a shot every two weeks. Donations are still needed to reach our goal and make sure the needed treatment is paid for.

This month, Narco had surgery to remove the toe that the cancer was originally discovered in. After a short recovery, he is feeling great again!

His 3rd chemo treatment was on Tuesday, April 18. He always does well with these and doesn't seem to have any side effects.

Narco will have one more injectable chemo treatment and then he will begin the melanoma vaccine.

Thanks to everyone who has donated to help Narco! We still far from our goal and the upcoming melanoma shots are the most costly part of his treatments. Please continue to share!

Thank you!
