Justin'so Journey

Justin Pettit of Newark, Ohio is a 22 year old who has faced some serious health issues the last few years. He has gastro paresis, neuro genic bowel, neuro genic bladder, severe scoliosis, chronic infections, asthma, GJ tube in his stomach and small bowel, as well as a Foley catheter in his bladder 24/7. In January 2015 he had surgery for an ileostomy. Since then things have gone from bad to worse. He needs a small bowel transplant and possibly a stomach transplant, bladder pacemaker, surgically placed catheter for his bladder, central line for TPN (IV nutrition). He is seeing the Cleveland Clinic for MOST of his treatment. The transplant surgery is 16 hours long. He will be in the ICU for at least a week, and in the hospital for a total least 4-5 weeks, plus he will then have to continue to stay by Cleveland Clinic for an additional 3-5 months after he gets out of the hospital. He will be on TPN for at least a year after the transplant surgery. TPN can cause liver damage and failure. The family really needs help with travel expenses, lodging, food, fuel, vehicle upkeep with traveling so much, things insurance doesn't cover, as well as the week or more of time off work that Justin's dad will have to take off for Justin's transplant due to the fact he drives truck for a living. Justin lives with his parents, two brothers and a six year special needs cousin that Justin's parents has had full custody of for 4 years he has kidney disease and brain damage consistent with child abuse. A few years ago Justin's sister passed away. The family truly needs some support and help. Justin' so dad drives truck and his mom is a full time care provider for him and his cousin. A bank account has been set up at Chase Bank for donations. Pampered Chef and Tupperware are doing fundraisers as well as his brother and two grandmothers and there could be more to come.
