As an infant, Jordan was diagnosed with congenital heart disease. She spent most of her young life in and out of the hospital. She suffered seizures, a stroke, and abdomen and brain bleeds.

At 18 months old, Jordan received the lifesaving gift of a new heart from a baby boy named Lukas, and the day that she and her mother, Esther, met the donor mother became an instant viral story.

Since her transplant, Jordan has lived an incredible, and overall healthy life. She has thrived to become a tenacious and strong, yet friendly and kind little girl.

On Feb. 22, Esther took Jordan to Phoenix Children's Hospital for a stomach ache. Doctors quickly noticed that her heart was not functioning correctly, and she was admitted to the hospital. Today, Jordan is again fighting for her life. Her body is rejecting Lukas' heart, and she has been intubated at Phoenix Children's Hospital.

To top it all off, Esther's mother, sister, and brother-in-law were hit by a drunk driver while leaving the hospital Friday night. While all three are doing okay, they remain hospitalized, taking Esther's most important support system away from her when she most needs it.

Jordan's hospital bills are mounting, and we'd like to help Esther take care of finances so that she can fully focus on Jordan's health. You can follow Jordan's journey on her Jordan's Heart Facebook page. Please donate what you can for this incredible little girl.

As many of you heard, Jordan passed away last evening. She fought so hard, but ultimately, the rejection was just too much. She was surrounded by people who love her, and her loss leaves an emptiness in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Her bright enthusiasm for life will be so missed.

Thank you for your generosity in the face of unrelenting grief. Your selfless giving brings some light into a situation that is otherwise filled with darkness.

These donations will go toward helping Jordan's family pay her medical bills. My hope is that we can raise enough to assist with her funeral as well. Please continue to share her page and encourage your family and friends to give anything they can.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and generosity. Jordan continues to fight but has faced some setbacks. A couple of days ago, she went into cardiac arrest and was without oxygen for 45 minutes. Her doctors continue to monitor brain function, as well as the function of her organs.

It is possible that Jordan could be re-listed on the transplant waiting list.

Jordan's parents, Esther and Noland, have been by her side 24/7, with other family members doing all that they can to support. Beyond the emotional stress, the family is facing incredible medical bills, and they are taking extensive time away from work so that they can be with Jordan.

Please continue to share her story and encourage friends and family to donate anything they can. Every dollar helps this incredible family and their brave little girl so that all focus can remain on Jordan's recovery.

THANK YOU for your selfless giving!
