Help out a Friend -Jonathan Knowles

Jonathan Knowles (pictured here in 1992), a local Salem, MA craftsman and talented carpenter, is known for being a gentle giant. He is a thoughtful man who grew up in the neighborhood off of Felt Street. Jonathan is known to spend just as much time thinking about how to address a challenging project, as he does actually accomplishing the task. Ask anyone who has hired Jonathan for a project and they will tell you that he is always happy to stay on the job to talk the homeowner through his ideas and most effective way to complete a project. He truly cares about his clients – his friends – and has their best interests in mind, always offering the most affordable and durable tactic.
Jonathan isn't quite known for his speedy work but, instead, his quality craftsmanship and kind nature. He has been working as a contractor and carpenter in the Northfields neighborhood and beyond for well over three decades. Sadly, on Tuesday, October 6th, Jonathan was inspecting a neighbor's roof and searching for a pesky leak when he fell from the second story, landing on the ground below.
Taken to Mass General by ambulance, Jonathan was informed that he had broken his back – specifically, four fractured vertebrae and five broken ribs.
He will be out of work and in a body cast for at least the next 6 months. Jonathan's first instinct – before the paramedics even arrived – was to have the neighbor call my home to let my husband know he would be unavailable to complete the resurfacing of our back deck. That’s the selfless kind of man he is.
With no health insurance and no way to offset the forthcoming medical bills, Jonathan could use our financial support. Please help rally to support one of our own with any donation you can offer.
