John Adsit Full Recovery Fund

$78,975 of $40k goal

Raised by 1,057 people in 24 months
Thank you to everyone who has been spreading the word of this fund. We have hit our initial goal so we will make it bigger in hopes to contunue the support.  So much love to you all.

I'm a friend of Michelle's.  I dont know what to do to help - so this is my answer.  I hope you will join me in eliminating one of the stresses that typically comes from surprise situations.

Thanks,
Joni

Early Wednesday afternoon, physicians at Denver Health Medical Center were operating on Denver Police Officer John Adsit, 43, after he was seriously injured while assisting with a protest on Colfax Avenue by students from East High School.

Adsit is a District 6 officer assigned to the bike unit. He was listed in critical condition. Adsit is married and has  four children. He has been a member of the Denver Police Department for 9 years and played in a 2013 charity soccer game to raise money for the Denver Police Orphans Fund.

Adsit was one of four officers injured when a car plowed into them as they escorted high school students who were protesting recent events in Ferguson, Mo.

Please help Michelle and the kids keep their focus on John's full recovery! Thank you for believing the Lord with the family for a miraculous and complete healing!

Message from John's wife ...
I have been trying to think of a way to sufficiently thank everyone who has donated money to our family in these past few weeks, but the words that come to me seem so small compared to the gifts you have given our family. The amount of money raised for John is life changing! Thank you for your support. Our entire family is blessed by your generosity. Sincerely, Michelle Adsit

A couple police officers and churches are organizing a prayer gathering for Officer John Adsit for this Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Sunken Gardens Park (located near 8th and Speer, just north of hospital). They do not want media attention to avoid any problems with protesters, it is meant to be a time of continued prayer John! You are invited to join in prayer at the park or wherever you maybe! Thank you!

The family of Officer John Adsit would like to thank you for your amazing donations, prayers and support! It has been incredibily encouraging and a source of strength as John is battling setbacks and surgeries! We were thrilled that John was finally able to open his eyes on Thursday and moved his toes this weekend. He remains in critical condition and faces more surgery this week. The support of love, cards, donations and "Lights On for Adsit" has been overwhelming. We trust the Lord that our hero is going to continue to fight for his life!

There is some kinship here, as we keep the Adsit family in our prayers. My daughter is named Jordan as well. Remind John that there are probably MORE than 100 of us who support the police for every one that does not. Prayers for recovery and best wishes to the family.

Sending prayers of love for strength and healing. As a composite artist I can attest that Denver PD has dedicated kind and committed officers. They never cease to inspire and impress me. There's so much negativity on public media. The us/vs them mentality is everywhere. It's time to focus on unity and love. Life is too short to live in anger and separation. In a time like this it's hard to have faith and trust that everything will be ok. But know that there are thousands maybe more, of strangers that are praying for you all.

You have so many things to worry about right now, paying bills shouldn't be one of them. Your husband put his life on the line to protect us; it is our priviledge to take care of you while you take care of him as only you can do. God Bless.

Prayers for you and your family. Along with a heartfelt thank you to your husband and his fellow officers. So many seem to forget how everyday can be life or death for these officers protecting thousands of people they will never know. But without officers like your husband and so many others this world would be a much scarier place.
