A Tragic End To A Tragic Life.

Joey had a heart of gold and would do anything out of love.

That is because he was bounced from house, and group facilities never having a place to really call home.

He suffered unimaginable neglect and abuse in his early years.

As a young adult he was just trying to survive in this World that never treated him fairly.

He never lost hope even though he had so many reasons too. He had always persevered.

Just recently, Joey had decided to better himself in more than one way! He decided to take up photography classes and loved being in nature and to find peace in his heart.

He was truly blossoming into a beautiful human being.

Friday night Joey was gunned down and killed.

Just 2 months after after his biological mother passed away, he was was lost and alone in this world.
He did not let that pain define him, but instead he used that pain as fuel to persevere and grow.
.
He was kind, sweet, compassionate,  pain in the butt that always kept people laughing even if he was hurting on the inside.

To many people have turned their backs on Joey... That is no longer the case, with our arms wide open lets radiate all the love and support to give Joey a wonderful Funeral  Service!

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated! All money donated will go directly to helping us organize the funeral arrangements.

Joey did not have a lot of support and love growing up. So, the time is now to love and respect him.

Please share on all Social Media accounts!

Hey Everyone! I'm sorry that it has been awhile since I have posted an update for Joey's GoFundMe. Once I got back to LA after coming home to Wisconsin for the Funeral, Joey's death hit me harder than I could've imagine. While being in Wisconsin I was surrounded by old friends and family and it made my heart full of love and I had loved ones to grieve with who knew the amazing person he was. I was with an outstanding community that showed nothing but love and support and I am forever grateful for that. When I landed back in LA the loss became more real as I was now dealing with his death alone. I wasn't able to tell crazy Joey stories with people knowing exactly how I felt. I had no one here that knew how his laughter could make your day so much brighter, or that his smile could light up your world. So with that being said, I have had time to process and get my thoughts together. I miss my friends and family in Wisconsin. You'll always be my home no matter how far away I am. With all of my being I wanted to thank everyone so much who donated, shared, and helped support us through this dark time. The Funeral was one of the most beautiful ceremonies that I will ever witness in my life. The sense of community and love that was there is something that I will hold on to and cherish forever. There was an energy there that I'm not able to even put into words but if you were at that ceremony than you know the exact feeling I'm talking about. We were able to raise enough money that the entire Funeral Service and all other expenses were paid for completely by donations, and that brings me to tears in the most heartwarming way possible... and that shows the special kind of love that Joey radiated. The kind of love that he still radiates. I've been putting off shutting down the GoFundMe donations because I was still holding on to every bit of him that I could, but it's time. I will leave the page up so it will always be here, I'm just shutting down the donation aspect of the website. I am going to say it once more because I'll never truly be able to express my gratitude but I can not thank everyone enough who had a part in helping make the most utterly breathtaking Funeral Service that I will exist to see. Thank you for the donations, sharing, making shirts, signs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram posts, partaking in the auction, and so much more. I know Joey's is up there with that big smile and a full heart because of the amazing community that pulled together for an amazing Soul. One Love.

As you all know Joey Riley is my brother. He has lived with my family and I off and on for years. Joey's Funeral is set for November 24th. All funds donated here will be paid to the Haase-Lockwood Funeral home for his service. I will be withdrawing the funds and obtaining a cashiers check the morning of Joey's service. So far we have raised an amazing $5,452! But still have $2,548 to raise with only 4 days left! So please continue to share and donate with everyone you know! Any size donation is greatly appreciated!
