Our dear friend and colleague, Jodie MacLellan, suddenly came down with the H1N1 Flu and double pneumonia, and was admitted to the hospital on February 5, 2019. She has been fighting for her life since that day.  Jodie has been in an induced coma on ECMO life support in critical care and has endured many surgeries.  What she has endured is indescribable. She has very long road ahead in order to get better and make a full recovery.   Jodie is a loving wife to Eric, an adoring mom to Julia and Joseph, and cherished daughter to her mom Christina. She is friend to all she meets. Jodie is as beautiful on the inside as the outside. She is a kind, caring, and generous person who has touched the lives of many people.

Please help us to alleviate some of the financial stress for Jodie’s family during this difficult time. We do not know how long this journey is going to be, we can only hope and pray for a speedy and full recovery. Any amount that you can afford to give will be going to help care for Jodie and her family during this most difficult time.

More than anything we ask that you please keep Jodie and her family in your prayers.

As the great Arthur Ashe said, “From what we get we make a living, from what we give we make a life.”

Update May 2, 2019

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,
We cannot begin to express our heartfelt thanks for your generous contributions, kind words, and prayers for Jodie through Jodie’s Angels Go Fund Me Page.

Jodie is entering into her 4th month in critical care on life support. She has encountered many more surgeries, infections, and set-backs along the way, but continues to fight hard each and every day. Jodie requires a large amount of blood on a regular basis to help her fight on the road to recovery. Jodie is A+, which is fortunately compatible with many blood types, so you don’t have to be A+ to donate.

A special blood drive has been organized on her behalf by her son and daughter’s Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops.

The blood drive will be held on Sunday, May 5th from 9:00am - 2:00pm at the Cason United Methodist Church, 342 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. You can register to donate ahead of time at: http://bit.ly/JodiesAngel

All donated blood goes directly to Jodie after it is screened and cleared for transfusion. Any donations not used by Jodie will be donated in her name to other patients needing medical care in the local area.

Jodie’s birthday is May 15th so we are hoping and praying that you might be able to help her mark this milestone by spreading the word about her blood drive and donating to the Go Fund Me page.

Please share this information and update with as many people as possible. Every donation on the Go Fund Me page is an enormous help. And please most of all, continue to keep Jodie and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

Many thanks,
Jodie’s Angels Team
