Jim Marriott needs our help!

Donation protected
As the chef and owner of Cafe Juanita I have had the pleasure to call Jim Marriott my friend for 16 years.  Jim spent 14 years caring for guests and making our restaurant the best it could be every day.  I am very grateful to Jim and have endeavored the last 2 years to find ways to support him as he has struggled with a diagnosis of Parkinson's.

For those of us who know Jim the word service is always one of the first that comes to mind.  Jim spent his entire career in service. His friends know that he lives his life in service to friends and family.  Jim has always put others before himself.  He was a devoted son, and has always been a devoted friend, employee and community member.

Jim planned to work "forever". His work was truly a joy for him, the connection with guests so important.   Jim has Parkinson's that is progressing and was unable to rejoin the Cafe Juanita team after our remodel last year.  Jim's financial plan was to work for at least another ten years and unfortunately due to the debilitating progression of his illness that plan has been upended.  Jim needs our help.

If Jim touched your life, cared for you or your family please take a moment to help the man who will never ask for the help that he needs.  I am doing this fundraising without his knowledge but with the support of everyone who knows his situation.

Jim has a generous spirit that has always put others first.  He needs our help and I appreciate everyone's time and compassion.
warmly,
Holly Smith, chef owner, Cafe Juanita
