Cancer Won't Beat Jill's Help Fund

Jill is an active, hardworking young lady who loves her family and friends, and has a big heart.   Jill has spent the last few years focused on growing her own local business and working as a training consultant with an organization that requires her to travel frequently.  Currently, she shares her home with our 70 year old mother Bonita, and together, they care for our 96 year old grandmother Flora.

On the way home from a business meeting Jill became ill and went to the emergency room, where she received treatment and was sent home to recover.  Nearly two weeks later she returned to the ER because she was not getting better.  The doctor ordered additional testing, and when the results came, she never thought she would hear the words that came out of her mouth.

Jill’s doctor said she suspected she has cancer.  Jill was referred to a few specialists to have additional tests run in order to get a definitive answer. After meeting with the specialists and having the additional tests Jill was scheduled to have surgery, the Monday before New Year’s.  Jill was admitted to the hospital to have Surgery as planned but the results of a pre-surgical procedure performed before making an incision the doctor saw a cancerous tumor.  Instead of proceeding with the surgery that was scheduled that day they proceeded to conduct biopsies on several organs to determine the source and type of cancer, and to what extent it has spread.

Due to the areas being impacted by the cancer her doctor thought it was best for Jill to begin cancer treatments as soon as possible.  So she had her first chemotherapy treatment prior to being released from the hospital.  Even though the type of cancer was not confirmed the doctor was confident of the best course to take.  The results from the biopsies are back and the doctors say Jill has Undifferentiated Carcinoma affecting many organs.  Due to her condition and the cancer treatments Jill will be out of work for at least six months.

As you can imagine, the uncertainty of this illness is stressful, but the fact that Jill is unable to work and she has immediately lost 80% of her income is creating a lot of stress for her.   Jill’s income pays the majority of the expenses in the household.   This illness has put her life and the lives of our mother and grandmother in jeopardy - without Jill’s income, there is not enough money to pay the bills.  In addition to the day-to-day expenses, there is the added expense of Jill’s medical care. Jill’s medical care is covered partially by her medical insurance but she has incurred many additional expenses including deductibles, copayments, and prescription drugs.  The money is needed as soon as possible to support Jill while she is unable to work.

I am Kim, Jill’s only sister, I deeply care for my sister and I want her to only focus on getting better and fighting this illness, so I am reaching out and asking for your help to relieve the stress of worrying about stability and finances.  Jill is my baby sister, I would do anything for her, I have always been there to take care of her when she needs it.  I am doing everything that I can to provide support both financially and physically, but I can’t do it all myself.

Jill is a very private person, she rarely asks for assistance but she always provides support to people in need.  I am asking for your help because we have no where else to turn.  Please help me to help my little sister, she needs us right now.  God Bless You!
