Bisbee-Douglas Jewish Cemetery
Donation protected
The Bisbee-Douglas Jewish cemetery is one of two abandoned Jewish cemeteries in Arizona. It is believed to be the oldest cemetery in the state.
We are raising money to restore the cemetery and to honor the memory of the Jewish pioneers of Cochise County, Arizona. Many of the buried were among the first residents of Douglas, as the new community formed in 1905.
The cemetery was established in 1904 and has been vandalized in recent years. Your donations would go to building a security gate, landscaping, restoration of tombstones and the creation of an art mural.
