Help Jennifer Banfill get to OCRWC

Donation protected
Hello my name is Jennifer Banfill 34 years old.  From Windsor Ontario Canada . I am trying to raise money to help make my way to the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships (OCRWC).

This year the OCRWC is being held at Blue Mountains in Toronto Canada Oct 14-16 2016.

So far, this year I have done 6 OCR races (still have 1 to go) and have constantly ranked in the top 10 women's elite division in my age group (30-34). All races I have qualified for a spot to run in the OCRWC.

With my second place finish along with my 3rd place podium finish. I qualified to run and compete in the pro-division for the short course 3km and the standard distance course 15km at the OCRWC and represent Canada.

Being able to represent your country in anything is a huge honor and an opportunity that not a lot of us get.

Those who know me, know that over the years have become a very passionate OCR runner. Knowing what I needed to do to qualify this year. I pushed myself harder than I usually do. With hard work, bumps, cuts, bruises, soreness for days I have accomplished my goal making it to the OCRWC!!

Unfortunately, I am required to pay for my own gear, team uniforms, registration, travel, food and accommodation for the OCRWC. Not including the registrations for all my OCR qualifying races.

Money raised here will be used to assist me to pay for appropriate gear for running in the month of October, accommodation and expenses while at the OCRWC Oct 14-16, and race entry fees.

These are my Elite race results so far:

Myself. Having epilepsy I am a huge advocate for the epilepsy foundation and the athletes’ vs epilepsy program. Last year I raised over $1000.00 for the Athletes vs. Epilepsy Program.

Athletes vs Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes, coaches, volunteers, and fans.

It helps bring epilepsy and seizure awareness to different sports through participation by athletes of all ages and skill levels, as well as their supportive friends, family, and fans.

Many athletes strive to overcome their own challenges with epilepsy.  Many share their passion and energy and is directed toward a common goal: to overcome a challenge, to surpass an obstacle, and to win.

“I have epilepsy. But, it doesn’t have me.!”

Any unused and remaining funds after the event will be donated to the Epilepsy Foundation athletes’ vs epilepsy program.
