White Ribbon Kokoda Track Adventure

White Ribbon is about stopping violence against women through primary prevention. Primary prevention does not involve providing services directly supporting women and their children escaping violence and abuse – instead it aims to reduce the need for services by driving societal change for future generations. Primary prevention action works to change attitudes and behaviours.
The key to the White Ribbon Social Movement is the engagement of men in the prevention of violence against women.
I have been engaged with White Ribbon for a few years now, having hosted a White Ribbon party, sold pins and delivered public talks on unconscious bias and how this affects women. 
Now I want to achieve a life long goal of hiking the Kokoda Track in PNG while raising money for this great charity.
Half the money raised in this event will go directly to White Ribbon, some will help fund my travel to PNG and some will be spent in PNG which will help stimulate their poor economy.
I personally am not an employee or volunteer directly linked with White Ribbon, I simple think that what they do is so very important I try to raise money and awareness wherever I can.
 The money raised will go towards White Ribbon doing what they do best, education in school, organisations and community groups, advocacy and partnerships.
Please donate as much as you can so I can live out one of my life long dreams of hiking the harsh Kokoda Track and also raise Thousands for White Ribbon Australia.
