I need your help

Hello everyone,

I am Jean Marc Kabey from Congo, Central Africa, but currently resident in the US. I am the first born of a family of three and the breadwinner of the family.

Recalling what I went through as a child in my beloved country (Congo) is a story for another day, it is only those that have been there for any reason can understand the situation and plight of the citizenry.

I am not trying to de-market my dear country, but stating the obvious; that access to basic social amenities and infrastructure which should have been the right of the people is being denied from the people except members of the political class and their cronies that see it as their birth rights. It was so bad a situation that my heart bleeds when I remember what a lot of families in Congo, including my mother and brother may be passing through in the hands of the ruling class.

Well, while in Congo, providence had it that I miraculously secured admission at Philander Smith College in Little Rock Arkansas where I am studying Computer Science (to become a programmer which is my area of interest) through scholarship.

Sadly, I lost my scholarship because I couldn’t focus with studies, not because I wasn’t brilliant, but because as the first born, I need to ensure that all was well in the house even when I wasn’t physically present at home, especially when I am also the breadwinner of the family.

Though I now have a job on campus at the moment, the salary is meager that I can only use it to pay for my rent.

Knowing that the importance of education in someone’s life cannot be overemphasized, I’ve tried to see if I can access loan through the student loan scheme, but because I don’t have a surety and that I’m not a US citizen, including my credit score which is poor, I couldn’t get any loan.

Having exhausted all options available to me, I have come here to appeal for financial assistance from you out there to enable me pay for my 2017-2018 academic year which will cost about $15, 000. I have labored so much to get to where I am now and will be devastated if this opportunity slips away from me.

I want to assure you that every money that you donated, no matter how little it is will be judiciously used and properly accounted for.

Please don’t turn me down! This is the opportunity I have to be educated and as a way of giving back to the society, I will ensure that I teach people around me and my native country how to become programmers at no cost.

And for the people who will donate towards this project, I will write a special “Thank You” letter in appreciation of your contribution towards the success of my studies.

Thanks for showing the spirit of kindness to me and you will not regret doing so.
