Cancer Patient Dying to Stay Alive........one day at a time
Jana Hussey a local Ft Worth Texas native has always had a giving heart to everyone she knew. A welcoming smile, a plate of food to offer and gave clothing and shelter when her friends needed it the most.
She now needs your help. Jana had her left knee replaced in July 2012 and her right knee replaced in Nov 2012 when the lab results came back that she had Cancer Non Hodgekins Lymphoma...stage 4B. This along with her Grand Maul Seizures, Lupus & Fibromyalgia has really attacked her immune system. Due to complications from surgery her husband had to take off work to take care of her and has not had a pay check in 15 weeks. He just returned to work and the axel on his 18 wheeler broke along with the hub, brakes and tires and he is unable to afford the repair as a owner operator. His employer put up the money for 4K in repairs but is taking 100 percent of his check until his debt is repaid. On 3/1/13 A deer jumped out of the woods and took out his right light assembly and a blown tire. Employer won't help until the other is repaid in full. This is about $1,200.00 in repairs. on 4/1/13 he had to replace 3 tires and could barely afford 3 used ones and $900.00 . 5/23/2013 His drive shaft and ujoint broke and the repair is $3,200.00 Ken is the sole provider for the family that resides in Keller Tx. Without his income Jana can not afford treatment.
The family applied for food stamps and were denied. The family is currently eating out of the food pantry, and nutrition is a hard venture for Jana as she has no stomach due to a botched up gastric bypass surgery and is so sick from treatment she needs ensure or a liquid protein diet. Also she is very allergic to preservatives and must eat fresh or frozen fruits and veggies. Unfortunately the food pantry does not provide ensure or protein powder. Or anything fresh or frozen. The food pantry only provides canned or dry goods type food. Without liquid nutrition it makes it very hard to heal and keep her strength up.
This tremendous financial strain has put Jana's medical treatments, medications, food, utilities, transportation and the chance of loosing her car and home due to not being able to pay the mortgage.
This family is in grave peril and desperately needs your help. If you have $5, $25, $100, $500 or more to give in a love offering that would be appreciated.
The goal to make it thru this hardship is $15,000.00. These funds will pay for her medical treatments, $1700.00 month prescription bill, transportation to treatment as she is home alone due to her husband being a long haul truck driver, and her special diet so she has the nutrition to fight to win this fight over cancer.
