Paddler's Love for JW Lile and his family

Today we lost a great man and fellow paddler, JW Lile. You may have met him on the river for a matter of minutes and I bet you remember him. He was full of energy and determination with a touch of rowdy and we loved him for it.
JW competed in most MO River races in 2017-2018 including the MR340. In those two short years he made a ton of friends. We all rallied behind him when we found out about his cancer this late Spring. We all knew when he sold the boats that he was hunkering down to fight this terrible disease. We lost JW this morning but he did not lose us. This river group is family and that is forever.
I asked myself how can we support his family today, so I am setting up a funding platform to not only purchase an arrangement on behalf of the MR340 and MO River Paddler community but also to take whatever is raised beyond $100 and give it directly to the family to help during this time. We cannot imagine what this is like for them. My opinion is any arrangement over $100 is money better spent.
JW- we will miss the hell out of you and keep an eye on us in the river. We will keep an eye on your family for you.
