Jefferson Academy Goes to College!

Our 8th grade students are headed to Philadelphia, New York City, and Princeton to celebrate their promotion to high school and, more importantly, to explore a variety of colleges and universities outside of the DC area. Last year, we went on a Virginia college tour and saw several Virginia universities and colleges, which inspired our students to achieve in high school with the goal of attending and graduating an outstanding university. This year we hope to inspire our students to go to college and find the best fit for them!
Our students and their families contribute $200.00 towards the trip in order to attend. In order to ensure that all students can attend regardless of the fees, we are fundraising money to help pay for transportation. Covering transportation will help ensure that more students are able to attend the trip.

The Jefferson end of the year trip includes educational and historically significant activities with college tours. Last year children visited Monticello and ancient caverns while also visiting the campuses of the University of Virginia and Hampton University. " - Mr. TC, 8th Grade Teacher
