The Story
The main character is a young man in his 20’s named Guy. Guy doesn’t think there’s anything out there in the world for him. He lives in a giant drywall box surrounded by video chat screens, projections, and images of his own imagination. He’s waiting for his girlfriend to come back to the box. She won’t tell him when she will. There’s probably a world outside for him; if only Guy could see past the fragile walls he’s put up.
About Me
My name is JJ House. I’m the Writer, Director, and Producer of "In Here". I am also a senior Film major in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.
The Project
“In Here” is my final film project here at SU. I am excited about it for a few reasons. One, the story is very close to me. The other reason is because this project is being created in a way no other film has been before. I am making the film so that its optimal viewing platform will be through a virtual reality headset. However, unlike other live-action films made for VR, I will not be shooting with a 360º camera -- instead I will use 3 digital cinema cameras recording simultaneously. The intended effect is to have an ultra-wide 270º view similar to an IMAX experience, yet as immersive as only VR can be.
I am shooting the weekend of April 7-9, so production is only a month away.
