OVERVIEW
I humbly request the support of friends, family, loved ones, and community in helping me to make my first journey to Africa to attend the Green Olive Visual Arts Residency in Morocco.
This residency is amazing opportunity to elevate my craft while also serving the world artistic community.
My time at Green Olive will be used to enrich my artistic experience, to create new photographic works, and to further develop a mini-retrospective photography book, which highlights my work documenting art, culture, music, and community experiences in the San Francisco Bay Area, the United States, and abroad.
Morocco is an ancient city filled with wonder and visual treasures. It is a city of art and music enmeshed in a beautiful cultural landscape, a documentarian's dream.
My photography work often melds architecture, nature, and cultural references to reveal a fascinating story of human life. I visualize the exciting possibilities of witnessing, first hand, the rich cultural scenery of such an an astonishing African city.
WHY SUPPORT THIS CAMPAIGN?
As an arts educator I will have the opportunities for cultural exchange and artistic collaborations through artist talks, workshops and a gallery exhibition.
It will be a time to enrich my cultural and artistic pallet, while allowing for the sharing of my creative gifts as a healing medium for viewing communities outside of the United States.
WHAT DOES YOUR DONATION SUPPORT?
If at least 100 people donates $25 each or if at least 50 people donates $50 each I will be close to reaching my donation goal!
Your monetary gifts will assist with airfare and accommodations.
