The purpose of this GoFundMe page is to help raise money to sponsor a trip for a representative of The Inventors Association of Arizona to go to Washington DC to attend a meeting with our congressional leaders. This is a three day trip organized by the Inventor Groups of America. The funds collected will be used for airfare, hotel and to attend organized dinners. The trip will take place April 17-19, 2018 and we need the funds by March 1st. More information can be found at www.inventleaders.org.
The purpose of the meeting in Washington DC is to strengthen the position of independent inventors regarding patent reform. As independent inventors, we are losing our strength to protect our patents against infringement, and large corporate entities are gaining the advantage. Our goal is to show a strong presence and collective voice to our leaders in Washington. They are beginning to hear us, and now they are open to meeting us in person on Capitol Hill.
The funds collected will be used for airfare, hotel and to attend organized dinners. The three day trip will include a tour of the USPTO, a day on the congressional floor as well as organized meetings with key elected officials, and an optional visit to the Lemelson Center for Innovation at the Smithsonian American History Museum.
The Inventors Association of Arizona has been guiding independent inventors for over twenty years. It is a non-profit 501c3 corporation that has evolved into one of the strongest inventors associations in the country. Your contribution to helping the IAA participate in this historic event will be greatly appreciated by entrepreneurs and inventors across our country as we collectively strengthen our voice in guiding our government to protect and support the grassroots of innovation.
