Hugh Needs $$ While Fighting Cancer

Hello! As some of you know, I was diagnosed in April of last year with colon cancer. Since that time, I have been undergoing chemotherapy and other medical treatment in preparation for what we HOPE will be surgery to remove the affected portion of my intestine. (I say "hope" simply because the surgical oncologist is still working with my other doctors to determine the best course of treatment, and we have run into complications over the last few months that may well pu ta damper on things. But, well, we hope.)
Due to my illness, I have not been able to obtain gainful employment to support myself (most employers are reluctant to hire someone who is taking narcotics for pain regularly, and who may well not be able to come into work due to medical treatment (or the side effect thereof) a few days every week!), and have been living on the kindness of friends, family, and most of all, my dear love Steph. In the meantime, I've burned through my life savings, bills have piled up, loved ones are having difficulty continuing to support me, and I have debts currently totaling into the tens of thousands of dollars. In other words, I'm in some rather dire straits, and I'm looking for help.
So, I have reactivatd this "GoFundMe" page that I first set up almost 2 years back (which is why it starts off saying things like "$1300 raised!" That was almost 20 months ago, and those funds have since been used.). What I ask is that, if you are able to do so, please donate. And if you aren't able to do so, please share the page around on your social media so that I get more eyeballs.
I appreciate whatever assistance any of you can provide. Thank you for your time, and hopefully I'll see you soon!
(BTW... asking for help like this actually kinda makes me feel more than a bit... uncomfortable. I much prefer to be the helper, not the helpee. So, if you consider this kind of thing (y'know, BEGGING) to be beneath someone, or you think that it's wrong, or immoral, or lazy of me to do this, please do me the favor of keeping such thoughts to yourself. Because you aren't telling me anything that parts of my brain haven't already told myself, and I feel bad enough about this already. Thanks.)
