HiiroCon - Help us fund the venue!

Donation protected
Back in 2013, ReadCon opened its doors for the first time, and it was well-received by all who attended. Plans went ahead for the following year. Whilst it had its share of ups and downs the committee relished in the success of their hard work.

Unfortunately several snags were hit and no progress was made for 2015.

This was until a couple of brave volunteers stepped up to the plate.

Many discussions and considerable rebranding later, HiiroCon arose, like a phoenix from the ashes, and was unleashed upon the internet, and has seen growing popularity ever since.

While originally focused on anime and manga, HiiroCon has the intention of catering to all tastes and forms of geek culture and bring together people from all over Reading and beyond.

The name Hiirocon evolved from the initial naming of HiroCon - a convention for our heroes. However, after a little investigation, Mitsuki was lead to Hiiro - the colour of fire. Having come from 'red', the name quickly stuck.

However, the biggest hurdle still remains. After a few issues from last year, and the fact the convention is now being run externally to the university, we have to pay an increased fee for the venue this year.

We need your help in order to reach this goal. We need to raise this money just to cover the venue and personel hire for the day.

Every little you can give will help this convention be the success we all know it can be. So please, help us make 22nd August a day that geeks can remember.
