Drive Hewlett Robotics to Success

What does the word “robotics” mean to you?

Metal parts? Motors?

To us here at Hewlett Robotics, this word means so much more; it means having fun, working as a team, and bringing math and science to our local schools. It means solving problems and putting our minds together to overcome hurdles while enjoying ourselves at the same time.

Every Friday after school, the things that separate our diverse family melt away like hot solder: all our varying cultures, values, and interests are left behind, leaving only our love for robotics.

A donation to our program goes a long way to help us do what we love;
-to buy us parts for our robots
 -software for designing and programming

It allows us to buy and maintain equipment (such as 3D printers and CNC machines) which let us prototype and test ideas, and most crucially allows us enter into national competitions where we see the fruit of our countless hours of labor ripen.

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts and the dual-core of our processors for contributing whatever you can.

We’re depending on you to help us reach our goal.

Congratulations to all three HHS Robotics teams for their awards at the first qualifier tournament on 1/16/19. There are seven possible awards and only six were awarded Saturday: Inspire. Think, Connect, Innovate, Design, & Motivate (Control was not used on 1/16). Hewlett Robotics Teams Won 4 of the 6 awards.

Team 7120 Bionica won the Connect award given to the team that most connects with their local STEM community.

Team 5477 Innovo won the Motivate award celebrating the team that exemplifies the essence of the FIRST Tech Challenge competition through team building, team spirit and exhibited enthusiasm.

Team 3540 RoboBoogie won the Think award for removing engineering obstacles through creative thinking.
RoboBoogie won the Second Place Inspire Award given to the team that truly embodied the ‘challenge’ of the FTC program. The team that receives this award is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FTC team. This team is a top contender for many other judged awards and is a gracious competitor.

By winning the Second Place Inspire Award, RoboBoogie has qualified for the Regional competition on 2/28/16 .

Innovo and Bionica will compete at the next Qualifier tournament on 2/6/16. They both look like strong candidates to move on to the regionals as well.

Congratulations to all three outstanding teams!

Their work is far from done and as Hewlett Robotics team supporters our work isn't done yet either. Please help the teams by donating to this GoFundMe campaign or at least posting and sharing this message.

Thanks! More pics to come.

All three HHS teams are hard at work getting ready for the first tournament. They can still use your help! Entry fees, parts and transportation just to name a few ongoing expenses. No contribution is too small.
If you can't contribute, please consider reposting to help spread the word.
Thanks!
