Changing Lives in the Dominican Republic!!!
We are HereToHelp, a group of 7 high school Sophomore girls from Rumson Fair-Haven Regional High School and Red Bank Regional High School who will travel to the Dominican Republic in early November of this year. Throughout our high school years, we hope to continue to have a positive impact on the country, the second poorest in the Western Hemisphere.
This year, we are going to the village of Comedora in the Central Cibao Valley to help refurbish a community school house and medical facility. The two buildings are in desperate need of roofing repairs, painting, new doors, and new fans. We will also be helping to build a children's clinic for needy children in the community.
Along with the above mentioned project, we will be collecting school supplies for the school children. Communicate with any of the seven girls if you would like to donate! ([email redacted])
Thanks to the generous donations from last years trip, we have $2,489 left over that we have put towards our goal this year. Please help us to reach this years goal so we can have another successful mission in 2016!!
We are working with Dr. Brian Campolattaro, an eye surgeon who has worked with ILAC (Institute for Latin American Concern) for many years. ILAC was started in 1980 to teach health and agriculture techniques to the people of the Dominican Republic. The center serves almost 500,000 of the poorest citizens and many of them have the opportunity to receive life saving surgery from the doctors present free of charge.
Any amount that you can donate will help make to a difference - $5, $10, or $20! Whatever you can give, we thank you!
