A Helping Hand for Flow and Mai

Donation protected
Hey everyone,
Asking you all for a small favor during this holiday season on behalf of an incredible person. Flow Trandu is our fitness trainer, an amazing human being, a man filled with incredible positive energy and a total fucking badass.

He is an undefeated MMA fighter and he's kicked the shit out of us for three years since we moved to CT (our boys, Max and Eli, Stephanie's 83 year old mother and my sister too... to name a few). Every year, around this time, he finds the best gifts for our boys (ninja swords and numb chucks last year!). He is one of our favorite people.

The past 60 days have been an incredible challenge for Flow. In October, the gym where he worked CLOSED with zero notice. The owner told him, the very day he was leaving on vacation with his fiancé Mai to visit her family in Japan. Then, one week before Thanksgiving, Mai and her best friend Cristina were on their way home from work when their car was brutally hit by a tractor trailer just off the exit ramp on I-95 in Stamford, CT.

Both Mai and Cristina were hospitalized and in critical condition. Mai had an emergency brain surgery and Cristina was in a coma. Unfortunately, Cristina passed away a few days later. Mai is recovering slowly, in a rehab center in Westchester, and it is going to be a long process. Her rehabilitation will be intense all the while her emotions are being tested knowing she has lost her best friend.

During this entire time, Flow has not left her side. Not for a second. As a trainer, he is an unbelievable source of inspiration and encouragement. Now he is using his gift towards helping the love of his life get through this and help her dig deep and find the motivation to get better - physically and emotionally.

Every once in a while, someone comes along whose spirit, optimism, intensity and generosity deeply touches you - Flow is one of those people for us.

Now, seeing the energy and passion he is bringing to the journey of helping Mai get better, we hope we can help him stay along her side as much as needed.

As a result of the gym closing and the tragic accident, Flow has now missed a huge chunk of time at work and income.

During this Holiday Season, Stephanie and I are trying to raise a little bit of relief for this wonderful person. We figure $25 or $50 from several folks could make a huge difference.

Thank you for reading this and thanks for considering.

ps: Flow told me a story last year about one of his clients whose son was getting picked on by some punk kid at the local high school.... Well, Flow paid the punk kid a nice visit one day and whispered a few things in his ear... The peaceful warrior that he is got the message across. Flow has said he has no tolerance for bullies and has told me repeatedly, "Britt, anytime, anywhere, if you get in trouble, I'll be there". He is dead serious... so don't FUCK with me! :)
