I really hate doing this for myself, but it has been a very difficult few months.
On June 10th my landlord pinned me against a wall choking me until I nearly passed out, I called the police and they called the paramedics and he is currently facing charges of Assault and Battery, he continued to threaten me and I had no choice but to leave the next day with only a few bags of belongings and my cat.
I stayed in hotels for almost two months until I finally found a place that felt comfortable and above all safe. I was completely emotionally and physically exhausted, as I was also filling in for a co-worker and needed the hours because of the expense of hotel rooms. I finally found a great studio apartment, and after about a week of feeling slightly Ill, woke up on my third day there coughing and with pain in my sides. I immediately went to the emergency room where I was initially diagnosed with Bacterial Pneumonia, and treated with a general antibiotic, when that antibiotic didn’t work I was put on a more aggressive antibiotic which didn’t work either, I then spent a week on two different inhalers while my doctors figured out their next course of action, in the interim I was given a CT Scan which uncovered nodules and severe inflammation in my lungs, I am now on Prednisone, a steroid to reduce the inflammation in my lungs as well as the two inhalers to regulate my breathing. I was unable to work during my first couple of weeks of having Pneumonia and was fired from my job.
I have been unable to look for work because I have been too exhausted because of the pneumonia, I have begun to feel what I hope are the steroids working but am still too exhausted to begin a thorough job search, I am currently very behind in rent which is $1600, I estimate my phone bill to be about $120, and then there are groceries and medication for myself and my cat. I hope (cautiously) that the combination of this Steroid and these Inhalers will work and I will be able to look for work within the next week or two. I Imagine that in this new place
I will be able to get a new job and make enough money that I can pay my bills, take care of myself and Kitty and return to some sense of normalcy.
Please help me and Kitty pay rent for the month of September and be able to cover my expenses while I get a new job and begin again in a new life setting where I feel both comfortable and safe. Thank you So much.
