Help Roxy's Glaucoma go away for good!
I adopted/rescued Roxy at the local county shelter in early October 2012. Despite knowing much about Cocker Spaniels and their eye issues, I decided to keep Roxy anyway. I would always take her out to the dog parks every weekend to play fetch and I came to notice that if I threw the ball at a certain angle, she wouldn't see it. On the day of Thanksgiving, completely out of nowhere, her right eye had gotten really swollen with lots of discharge. After dishing out $300-400 in ER/Vet visits, she was diagnosed with primary glaucoma in her right eye and at the same time I found her left eye had a cataract that pretty much made her half-blind until the glaucoma came around. I've spent $500 alone treating the glaucoma and it's no longer an issue for her now. If money was no object, I would have had that cataract removed from her left eye to at least partially restore her vision which is why I turned to this website to seek help on getting funding for her cataract surgery. I cannot no longer sit on the sidelines and watch my dog mope in depression because she can't play like all the other regular dogs and/or watch her run aimlessly into objects around her! Please note that canine cataract surgery can cost up to $3000 per eye so any donation is greatly appreciated!!
Roxy also appreciates it and says "RANK ROO!!!!!"
