Where do I even begin? Its been a very difficult road these past few years and it doesn't look to be getting any better! I will start off by saying Thank you so much for reading all of this and even if you can not help out financially, just keeping Mike and our family in your thoughts and prayers are a great help! So now on to Mikes story and the reason I am making this gofundme account. My husband, Mike, is a 37 year old amazing person, husband and father to 3 sweet little girls! Just about 3 years ago, he was at work and he passed out! They rushed him to the hospital with what they thought was heat exhaustion. He was healthy or so we thought! It turns out, he was in heart failure. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy.   It was the biggest shock of my life! He was invincible! He came out of the hospital a few days later a completely different person! From that moment on, he had extreme limitations. But how do you tell a person that they can no longer work as a plumber and support their family after doing that trade your whole life? He worked as much as he could but would come home exhausted and having a difficult time breathing! We were and still are on a first name basis with a majority of the nurses on the cardiac floors at the hospital! In November of 2012, a week before Thanksgiving, I found him on the bathroom floor. He was brushing his teeth and fell and was unconscious! He had a stroke. On the way to the hospital he had another! It was one of the scariest things I have ever seen! Luckily, there was no long term damage done to his brain. That's when we learned his heart function had dropped even lower than they thought. It was at that point that we knew we had to get him out of this area and get a second opinion. We saw an amazing cardiac surgeon/ transplant specialist at Thomas Jefferson who confirmed my biggest fear... Mike will need a heart transplant to stay alive! So after many hospital stays and 25 different medications daily, we are now out of options. We need to get everything done and ready and wait by the phone for the call to come that there is a match!
We have used all of our savings a long time ago but Mike was to proud to ask for help. No one really knows this because I was to embarrassed to say anything but we lost our home to foreclosure last year. I couldn't understand why all of this was happening to us? But we were lucky enough that Mikes parents took us in and changed their lives and home all around to let us stay here.. no questions asked! Both Mike and myself worked hard for so many years all to end up like this! But in the end, this is all Gods plan! And that is our story! We have 3 young children together! We have been together 13 years. We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary on New Years Eve! And more than anything, we have 3 princess who need their daddy and a queen who needs her king! So please consider helping us so that we can get back and forth to Philadelphia and Mike can get a new heart and we can live a true fairytale and live Happily Ever After!~
