So, my sister Maggi is getting divorced. This is NOT what she wanted, and for more than 6 years tried many, many ways to make the marriage work. All the while, raising her three beautiful children on her own.

Some of you may know parts of the saga... it's a pretty painful ordeal. Although they are still married, her husband is also currently engaged to be married to another woman. All of us who know and love Maggi know that she needs to be free of this situation.

Divorce is expensive and complicated and Maggi’s legal expenses are becoming prohibitive. Although she has already spent over 10K, she needs this money to pay her attorney so that they can finish the divorce proceedings. Otherwise, Maggi will not have representation and runs a very real risk of an even worse deal than she's already getting.

In a world where most of us love to "live our best lives" on social media, it sucks to be on blast needing help ending a marriage. But I'm hopeful that by now, most of our friends and family 1- understand, 2- have lived a long enough life to empathize with finding themselves on the short end of the stick, and 3- realize that if enough of us pitch in then maybe we can help Maggi get a fair settlement.
