The proverb "it takes a village to raise a child," has never been more pertinent than when it concerns our troubled youth.  We all know someone who is in need of help, direction, and hope. 

Please meet one such person, my son John-Paul.

When you see your child going down the wrong path, it is not easy at all.  But every parent wants their child to have a second chance!

At risk of a "troubled future," John-Paul now has the opportunity to receive specialized therapy, counselling, high school credits, and boarding under the guidance and direction of a professional team guided by Karen Uschold.

Who is Karen,  and what is her "Approach" to struggling adolescents?

*Karen Uschold, Founder of the non-profit Vianney Academy of Learning, pays attention to our youth who have gone astray.  Often pushed to survive in the margins by their family's circumstances, youth sometimes lose hope, and their future, in an effort to "fit in".  To society, the courts and the jails, these youth are a burden with a bleak outcome.
 
Karen is unwilling to accept this.  She believes in saving young people and giving them the tools to achieve a future they deserve! 

Vianney Academy of Learning began in Mississauga over 8 years ago in response to a great need emerging for the care of children with mental health issues and learning disabilities, where main stream schooling fell short for those children with high needs. 

At Vianney, these young people are nurtured, educated, loved and mentored!  They receive life-skills and opportunities to turn-around for good, to re-discover themselves, and unlock their hidden potential.


There are few options out there which will take on a troubled youth and say yes to:
Boarding, Therapy, & Education...

John-Paul can turn his life around and go down a hopeful path, with the help of Karen’s proven approach.  




 
Karen's wholistic system of recovery works successfully with children in the autistic spectrum, add/adhd, dyslexia, anxiety, depression, ocd, gifted, rebellious and addicted, with counselling at the core, giving hope to suffering parents and children alike!
