On Jan 30, 2018 at approx 11pm this puppy we now named "Jamie" after the Good Samaritan who found him, was laying in the middle of the highway on Rte. 16 near Sonnys Car Wash in Everett. Thankfully the 2 good Samaritans were able to get to him to safety and call for help. He was in shock, had severe injuries and suffered from substantial blood loss. Everett Police ACO, Stacia Gorgone, was able to rush him to Mass Vet Referral Hospital in Woburn, where they found his back leg has multiple fractures, joint and tendon damage which will require him to have his leg amputated. He was also found to be suffering from internal injuries such as a crushed bladder, pulmonary contusions to his lungs as well as trauma to his chest. He is currently being treated at Mass Vet where he will be required a minumum stay of at least 5 days, if not more, depending on his recovery process. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE help us help this puppy! If we end up raising more than we need, all additional funds WILL go to pay for any other vetting for the City of Everett Animals we help. If you have ANY INFORMATION on this incident, please contact Everett Police ACO 617 387 1212 or email stacia.gorgone@cityofeverett.org

FINAL UPDATE! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR DONATIONS AND SHARES for this campaign ! This man was so SWEET and thankful for everyones help! I am so happy to be a part of this sad story with such a happy ending!!! It was a pleasure to meet this man, I cried instantly when i saw their reunion... they were both so happy!!! If it wasn't for everyone and their donations this pup would not be here today!

Frim Everett ACO:
There was a nice reunion at Everett PD today when truck driver Theron Miller from Montana was able to see his puppy Tedge who was taken from him on Jan 30th 2018 from the Produce Center area in Everett. The dog showed up later that night into Jan 31st when it was found on Rt 16 after coming out of a moving vehicle. Tedge was injured and had to have one of his rear legs removed but has rebounded thanks to the efforts of a lot of good people. The incident is still under investigation by the Everett PD. The 18 month old is happy to be home and looking forward to getting back on the road with Theron. Safe Travels to you both and glad this one had a happy ending. #HappyDogHome

Please continue to share and donate, we still have a few more dollars to raise! Thank you to everyone who has donated and shared for us to help sweet Jamie... now known as Tedje (teej)!

Update from the Everett Animal Control Officer!

Today is the day!

Our little guy "Jamie" who was reported to be thrown from a SUV on route 16 is FINALLY getting his stitches removed- but he still has to leave his cone on for a few days, he's probably not too happy about that.

He had his rear leg removed and needed a follow up surgery a week later and now he's doing outstanding!

It is believed he was a stolen pup, and the Sgt of the Detective Unit is still actively investigating the matter. The owner has been identified, he is a out of state resident and can't wait to come back to get his buddy early next week.
The owner is extremely thankful for everyone's support and explained how he and his family own a farm and take in lots of rescue animals and he feels his own dog got a second chance at life in return for all the animals lives he has helped.

Thank you again to everyone for the outpouring of support, The Dogmother LLC. who raised funds for his extensive care and the 2 Great individuals who saved him from the busy parkway that night, got him to safety and called for help.

This little guys ordeal is over and we all can not wait to see him back with his owner who loves him dearly.
