My name is Dorienne Davis and this campaign is for my nephew, Corey.

Corey was recently shot and hospitalized during an armed robbery on the GoWireless store in which he was working. The funds will be spent on hospital bills, legal fees, and on items needed by the family during this holiday season. Corey is a 25 year old native of St. Louis and has a 5 year old daughter. Chris, his mother, is the only person who has access to this account, and the funds will be used to help her son and his family during his recovery.

On Thursday, December, 8th 2016, two men entered the GoWireless store in which Corey was working and stole two cell phones. Corey went outside to get the license plate of the robber’s vehicle and was shot in the back by one of the robbers. Corey was then taken to a hospital where doctors performed emergency surgery on him. He is currently stabilized, and in a few days, doctors will check his spinal cord for permanent damage. Because of the gunshot, Corey cannot move nor feel one of his legs.

Please, donate to this GoFundMe campaign to support Corey, his daughter, and his family. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

To help spread the word, please share this campaign on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and through email and phone calls. Your giving, thoughts, and prayers mean more than you can imagine. Thank you so much in aiding Corey and his family during his recovery.

Week 1: (from Corey's mom, Chris)
Just did a follow-up interview with Rob Sneed from channel 4.. It will air @ 5, and then a short snipet @ 6. I fought back tears a couple of times, and the sun was in my face the whole the time shining on my double chins, I'm sure... But, I just wanted to humanize my son to those who don't know him, and let the community know that he isn't just another statistic of the violence in our city..

Week 1: (from Corey's mom, Chris)
Today was a long day... Today made it a week since it happened, and I feel like I haven't slept more than 4 hours a night since then... What started off as a dismal reminder of what occurred a week ago @ 10:30 am, today was squashed by around 4:15 pm today when I walked into his hospital room.. He was surprisingly awake and said to me.. "I have good news"... I said, "oh.. Did you get to talk to the Detective today?".. He said "no"... Then he pulled up the sheet that was covering his right foot, and showed me that he could wiggle those piggers ever so slightly... He then rocked that right leg back n forth just a little bit... I swear just yesterday there was still no movement in that leg... This is progress, and I'll take it even in it's smallest form... "Thank you" to everyone who has kept him in your thoughts & prayers. The well wishers, and positive vibers.. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. #CoreyWillConquer
