200 Homeless Kids in PBC Need Help!

The goal of this GoFundMe page is to raise $150K by November 20, 2016 to provide 200 at risk and homeless children in Palm Beach County with education, and other support, for an entire year.
Why me?
When I was just a kid myself, I used to help feed the homeless every Sunday afternoon with my church. After years of doing this, I decided that I wanted to do even more to help the homeless community in Palm Beach County. I founded Fish with a Man, an organization dedicated to supporting homeless youth in their path to becoming self-reliant. Rather than just feeding them or housing them for a few nights, I wanted to give homeless individuals the opportunity to get back on their feet again. Smart Coos, in conjunction, strives to give at risk individuals opportunities through language learning and education.
How will the funds be used?
1 - Provide an all day fun and informative event for at risk children
During National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week an all day event (from 11:00 am-9:00 pm) will be held for children at risk for being homeless. We will provide three workshops so at risk children can gain the knowledge, resources and connections they need most, and also provide all the workshop participants with a full lunch and dinner for the day.
2- Support 200 at risk and homeless children for 1-year
In addition, the funds will provide 200 homeless children in Palm Beach County with educational, and other support, for a year. But, above all else, this GoFundMe initiative is to give hope to the homeless children of Palm Beach County and do our part to help them gain a better and safer future. And, hopefully, put a bright, beaming smile back on their faces, like every child should have.
Why Palm Beach County?
Aside from West Palm Beach being my home, Palm Beach County ranks #2 in Florida for “children living in spaces not designed for human habitation.” 3,170 student-aged kids were declared homeless in 2016 and the average age of those homeless children is only 7 years old.
I believe that it is completely possible to reach the 150K needed to fund this project and 200 children will be much better off with your help and support! By November 20th, I hope to put smiles back on the faces of 200 children and bring hope and possibility back into their lives.
It might sound crazy, but everyone has a dream for a brighter future, and this is a huge step in the right direction if you ask me.
