HELP GREGORY TO STUDY ABROAD

Hi.  My name is Gregory Maleme and I reside inToronto, Ontario. I am a second year student pursuing a Bachelor Degree of Fine Arts with Honour at Grenfell Campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland in Corner Brook, Canada.  On July 10,  2018, I will be going on a student exchange program to University of Tasmania in Australia to complete my third year in Fine Arts & Visual Communication program. I previously graduated from the Graphic Design program of Niagara College in Ontario as shown on my profile picture.

As a student at Memorial University, I participated in volunteering during the indigenous art show festival in designing visual communication materials and exhibiting arts for the show of  Grenfell Campus. I have also been an active participant of art shows exhibitions that take place within the campus art gallery and that also opens up to the public.  I participated in painting an artwork that was intended to be given by Grenfell campus in donation to an hospital at Corner Brook as my artistic contribution in working to make change in the community. 

I love studying art because it is  my passion.  Art  has kept me focused on education.  It  has also motivated me to excel while many did not believe that I could make it to college or university because of some learning disability in my early school years. The exchange program in Australia will allow me to gain more advanced skills and knowledge in Fine Arts and Visual Communication, and also to experience both professional and research aspect of the program.  I am glad that I managed to find a summer job that will allow me to save some money on my own.  But due to the short period of time in preparing for this education trip,  some support through gofundme appeal will effectively help me reach my goal of travelling to University of Tasmania in Australia from July 2018 to December 2018.

I am the son of a single mother who raises me with love and support.  She guides me to stay in the right path and get educated in order to become a valuable member of the society.  Unfortunately, education and mostly studying abroad, as I wish it, comes with high costs which my mother alone can't afford.  This is why I am turning to people who are willing to help me through gofundme to raise money in pursuit of my passion and education in art and visual communication.

I'm looking into raising $15,000 which will go towards paying for: flight ticket $2, 200 max, visa $560, health insurance, arts materials including books, monthly rent $960 max and $350 for monthly living cost including food and transportation in case of out of campus residence.  Fortunately, as an exchange student, I will pay the same tuition as Memorial University student and can afford it myself.
